TechSpace Online Network
Membership User Terms
Introduction
Thank you for choosing to become a member of the TechSpace Online Network (“Online Network”). The community is a place for exchange of information, tips, best practice and other materials related to the TechSpace Programme.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Camara Education Ireland (“Camara”), so please read them carefully. If you do not agree to the Terms, please do not use the Community.
1. Member Account
To use the Online Network, you must (1) have been trained by Camara as part of TechSpace (2) Create a Online Network account by following the instructions on Online Network registration page. You must ensure your information is true, accurate and complete and is kept up to date.
You must ensure the organisation you are employed by, or volunteer with, is true and accurate and you are compliant with Child Protection, Safeguarding and Garda Vetting Policies within your organisation.
It is strictly prohibited to include information in your profile that may suggest you are a Camara employee or moderator, or to otherwise pose as such an employee or moderator when using the Online Network.
Membership Requirements
Member-Generated Content
Members may post or other contribute content to the the service. This may include, for example, feedback on an activity guide, a profile photograph or biographical information. Members are not currently enabled to create or curate activity guides, programme planning documents or publications to the service.
You agree that the member content you post on the TechSpace Online Network is owned by you or you have permission to post it and does not violate any copyright or intellectual property rights.
Camara will, but is not obliged to, monitor all content generated by members. You agree to abide by the Code of Conduct for the service, Camara’s Privacy Policy, and Child Protection and Safeguarding Statement. Camara reserves the right to review, edit, remove or disable access to any member-generated content for any or no reason, including member content that violates these. Camara may take these actions without notice to you. Removal or disabling of content is at Camara’s discretion.
You are solely responsible for all member content that you post. Camara is not responsible for member content and does not endorse any opinion contained within this content.
2. Official Support
Information, advice or other material of any kind of Member-Generated Content (“Content”) of the Online Network is not official support provided by Camara’s TechSpace Programme. You acknowledge that opinions expressed in this Content on the Online Network are those of the contributors of this Content and does not reflect opinions or policies of Camara employees, which includes the TechSpace team.
For official support related to your Online Network account, or to request support related to TechSpace training, activities, events, hardware, equipment or other related supports, please use the Contact Us feature by clicking on the orange icon at the bottom right of each page.
3. Content, Moderation & Reporting
You are responsible for all Content that you post on the Online Network. Camara does not control and assumes no responsibility for such Content or any Content posted by other Members.
Camara reserves the right to moderate activity on the Online Network and may remove or edit any Content for any or no reason, including, but not limited to Content that, in Camara’s sole discretion violates the Online Network Terms and accompanying Code of Conduct. Camara may remove or edit such Content without notification to the Member.
Any use of the Online Network that conflicts with any of the Terms or Code of Conduct may result in immediate termination or suspension of your account.
Please help Camara to protect the ethos and values of the Online Network. To ensure the Online Network remains as helpful and supportive as possible you can report any inappropriate activity or Members’ posts via the Contact Us feature by clicking on the orange icon at the bottom right of each page.
4. Code of Conduct
The ethos and values of the Online Network and our Members’ safety is important to us. To keep the Online Network as helpful and supportive as possible we ask that you observe the Code of Conduct.
5. Term and Termination
The Online Network Terms will become effective in relation to you when you create a Members account and will remain in effect until you terminate your account or the earlier termination by Camara.
You may terminate your Online Network account at any time by contacting Camara via the Contact Us feature at the bottom right of each page. If Camara terminates or suspends your Online Network account for any reason whatsoever, Camara shall have no liability or responsibility to you. Please note that if you Online Network account is terminated by you or Camara for any reason, Content you have posted may be kept in the Online Network in an anonymised form.
6. No Warranty
The use of the Online Network is at your own risk. The Online Network is provided on an as is and as available basis. Camara gives no warranty as to the quality, content and available or fitness for a specific purpose of the Online Network.
Camara does not warrant, endorse, guarantee or assume responsibility for any Content posted on the Online Network or any third party hyperlinked website. You are obliged to use your judgment and caution where appropriate, as you would do with information and advice from any other third party source, either online or offline.
No advice or information whether oral or in writing obtained by you from Camara shall create any warranty on behalf of Camara.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Camara, its executive officer, directors, employees, stakeholders or any third parties be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including but not limited to any loss of data, service interruption, computer failure or pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Online Network, even if you have advised Camara about the possibility of such loss, and including any damages resulting therefrom.
Your only right with respect to any problems or dissatisfaction with the Online Network is to terminate your account as set out in Term and Termination Section above and to stop using the Online Network.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits Camara’s liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Camara, its executive officer, directors, employees and stakeholders harmless from any claim or demand (including by not limited to reasonable legal fees) may by a third party due to or arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or the Code of Conduct, or your violation of any laws, regulations or third party rights.
9. Intellectual Property
Camara respects intellectual property rights, and expects you to do the same. Please note that the Online Community is the property of Camara and is protected by intellectual property rights (including by not limited to copyright) and that you do not have a right to use the Online Network in any manner not cover by these Terms.
All intellectual property rights in the website design, text, graphics, the selection and arrangement thereof and all software are owned by unless otherwise indicated. Camara reserves all of its rights.
The above does not include Content which is the property of third party suppliers. Copyright will be clearly attributed to relevant Content owners on the Online Network.
You do not have to submit any Content other than your profile registration information to the Online Network but if you do you acknowledge and agree that any questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback, or any other submissions which may improve our products, services, or offerings shall become the property of Camara unless otherwise agreed by Camara.
Members are permitted to download resources and use for for educational purposes only.
Camara have the right to use Member Generated Content for research and analytics purposes. This data will be anonymised.
10. Technology Limitations & Modifications
Camara will make reasonable efforts to keep the Online Network operational. However, certain technical difficulties or maintenance may occasionally result in temporary interruptions. Camara reserves the right at any time, and occasionally, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Online Network or any of its functions and features with or without notice. If Camara modifies or discontinues the Online Network for any reason(s), Camara shall have no liability or responsibility to you.
11. Privacy
When you sign up to use the Online Network, Camara and its hosting providers may gather, store, and use your personal data. The privacy and security of your user data is, and will remain, Camara’s highest priority. You can read more about how we do this in our Privacy Policy, which includes information about your privacy, your rights and how to exercise them.
The table below lists the type of data we collect and store on the Online Network:

This data will be visible to other Members of the Online Network and Camara employees. In addition, Camara employees and contracted third parties, will have access to Member data stored on the Online Network to provide development and maintenance services, and for analytics and research purposes. If used publicly, data will be anonymised or prior permission will be sought from Members to use their data.
The data will be stored for the duration that your Member account is active. We review membership data on a bi-annual basis in line with our Data Retention Policy. However, you may request for your information deleted outside of this period by writing to us via the Contact Us feature at the bottom right of each page. We will delete your account within 30 days of receiving your notice.
If you request for your data to be deleted, your Member profile will be deleted. Any Content you have generated outside of the your Member Account such as the sharing of comments, tips, materials remain on the Online Network and be anonymised.
12. Miscellaneous
Camara may change the Terms at any time and at its sole discretion. We will communicate any material changes to you. Your acceptance of and/or continued use of the Online Network after such notification of change will constitute your acceptance of such changes. Please do not use the Online Network if you do not agree to the new Terms.
In the event that the Online Network Terms and Code of Conduct are translated into other languages, the English language version shall prevail if there is a discrepancy between the two language versions.
Camara may assign its rights and obligations in connection to these Online Network Terms without restrictions. You may not assign your rights or obligations in connection to the Online Network or your Member Account, or any part thereof, to any third party.
The Online Network Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with Irish law. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with the Online Network Terms will be subject to Irish law with the appropriate knowledge and expertise to deal with such dispute, controversy, or claim.
